Cesar Yoc is the founder and Executive Director of the Bronx Institute for Urban Systems. He has been advocate for sustainable planning and rethinking economics for over 20-years. He was a member of Bronx Community Board 1 for Ten Years. He was appointed by the City Council to the Environmental Justice Advisory Board for the City of New York. He is the Garden Coordinator for Mill Brook Gardens. A garden started by tenants and run by tenants. Cesar Yoc has a passion for rethinking economic ideas, focusing in Biophysical Economics.
Paul Lipson served for seven years as Chief of Staff to Congressman Jose E. Serrano (NY-16), an 11-term Democrat and senior appropriator from The Bronx, NY. In 2009, Lipson served as principal author of The American Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Act (HR 4399), a bill introduced with bi-partisan support aimed at scaling up the domestic electric truck industry and helping to address air quality deficits incurred by medium duty fleets based in places like the South Bronx.
Siddhartha Sanchez is a lifelong advocate for food justice whose work centers racial, environmental and economic justice for more than 20 years. He has dedicated his career for service low-income communities of color accross New York City. Most recently, Sanchez served as the Executive Director of the Bronx River Alliance. Now he serves as the Director of Food Services at the Majors Office.
Isabel "Isa" Figueroa is an arts administrator, creator, organizer, and educator born and raised in the Bronx. She has worked extensively in community engagement, arts education and environmental stewardship. They now serves as the Senior Manager of Youth Programs & Community Engagement at ICP. Isa is Co-founder of Siempre Contigo Inc., a not-for-profit providing direct aid to families in Puerto Rico affected by Hurricane Maria. Her artwork is an exploration of existence and identity. Clowns and crowns act as symbol and metaphor for humanity, self worth and value beyond vanity. Additionally, they curate as a way to highlight artists, artisans, performers, activists, and others in multigenerational and collaborative spaces for community celebration and dialogue. Isa received a BFA in Photography from St. John’s University and Certification in Creative Practice from the International Center of Photography.
